I graduated from Northwestern University with a bachelor's degree in communication sciences and disorders, with an emphasis on learning disabilities. I got my master's in education at Trinity International University, which is located in Deerfield, Illinois. I'm currently attending school in Waukesha, WI at the New Tribes Bible Institute.I have many years of teaching experience. I have taught middle school reading, English, and math in Chicago. I have also worked as a private elementary and middle school tutor through a private company called Nurturing Wisdom in Chicago. I can tutor middle school and elementary school students in many different subjects, and I have experience in test-prep (SAT and ACT) as well. In any sort of test preparation setting, it's important to learn methods that can aid the student in reducing anxiety and building confidence. Each student is different, so it's important to realize this when tutoring. It's my goal to arm my students, regardless of their learning style, with the right tools to help them become self-assured, lifelong, and independent learners. With the right tools, any student can achieve. In my personal life, I enjoy traveling and meeting new people, playing guitar and piano, hiking, dancing, reading, and playing chess.
